In April 2023, we provided items and stuffed activity bags benefitting Meta House.
Meta House provides gender-specific treatment for women experiencing substance abuse. Their approach is trauma-informed and family-centered. In 2022, they served 317 women and 190 children across their continuum of care. They also focus on families, supporting the healthy development of children by offering parenting coaching and strengthening family bonds. Learn More Here

Annually EWI of Milwaukee makes fleece blankets for local nonprofits. Two most recent recipients are Pathfinders and the Women’s Shelter at Community Advocates.

December 2024: EWI of Milwaukee participated in their annual Toys for Tots toy and monetary contribution drive. Additionally, a team of ladies from the chapter often volunteer every year at the Salvation Army, sorting and packing toys to go home to families in Milwaukee.

Toys for Tots helps less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; by playing an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children. They unite members of local communities in a common cause each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and contribute to better communities in the future.

Annually, we hold book drives for Next Door Foundation school supply drives for Milwaukee Public Schools.
EWI of Milwaukee assembled 224 Math and reading flashcard packets.
Northwestern Mutual, in partnership with United Way teamed up with community volunteers to assemble and pack 12,000 sets of reading and math flash cards for local students.
Volunteers tore apart the cards, organized the decks and wrote a notes of encouragement to both the students and parents. The cards were distributed to students and families throughout the community.

Stockings for Soldiers – Collection of items and stockings donated to the local VA Hospital
